About Christian

Christian Lozano, LMFT, CCTP, C-DBT, CMIP
Founder of GroundPoint Counseling

People often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected — from themselves, from others, or from a sense of direction.

My role is to provide a steady, grounded space where clarity can begin to emerge.

I provide specialized telehealth therapy services to adults throughout California.. My work is direct, relational, person centered, and evidence-based, with an emphasis on creating a space where clients feel supported, understood, and respected. I believe therapy should be both supportive and purposeful — a place where meaningful change happens through a strong therapeutic relationship, thoughtful pacing, and practical support that fits real life.

Clinical Experience & Focus

My professional background includes extensive experience from community mental health, behavioral health, crisis-oriented settings, and outpatient care. Over the years, I’ve supported individuals with navigating:

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Depression

  • Complex family dynamics

  • Major life transitions

This experience shaped a balanced approach of emotional processing paired with containment, pacing, and practical skill development.

Advanced Training & Evidence-Based Care

To ensure the highest standard of care, my practice is informed by the following certifications and therapy approaches

  • Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP)

  • Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT)

  • Certified Mindfulness Informed Professional (CMIP)

  • ACT Certificate Program (Trained under Dr. Richard Sears)

Bilingual Services

As a bilingual therapist, I provide therapy services in both English and Spanish. Whether you prefer to work in your native language or want a therapist who can move fluidly between languages with you, both options are available. Intake documents are also available in both English and Spanish.

Personal Philosophy & Grounding

While my work is clinical and evidence-based, it is deeply relational at its core. I believe that for therapy to be fruitful, we must first develop a strong relationship.

Outside of the therapy space, I find grounding in gardening, watching sports, and listening to music. I believe music can be a profoundly healing tool, and I enjoy integrating creative metaphors and mindfulness into our work to promote personal growth.

Taking the Next Step

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. If you’re curious about working together, I invite you to schedule a consultation to see whether what I offer feels like a good fit. Whether we work together here or find another path that fits your needs, my priority is ensuring you find the right support for your journey.
