About Christian
Christian Lozano, LMFT, CCTP, C-DBT, CMIP
I provide telehealth therapy services to adults throughout California. My work is grounded, direct, and person-centered, with an emphasis on creating a space where clients feel supported, understood, and respected. I believe meaningful change happens through a strong therapeutic relationship, thoughtful pacing, and practical support that fits real life.I bring extensive experience from community mental health, addiction treatment, crisis-oriented settings, and outpatient care. Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals navigating trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, domestic violence, and complex life transitions. This background has shaped a steady approach to therapy that balances emotional processing with containment, pacing, and skill building — especially when emotions feel intense or overwhelming.
While my work is relational at its core, I integrate evidence-based approaches to support emotional regulation and sustainable change. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-informed practices. These tools are used flexibly and collaboratively, guided by each client’s goals, values, and capacity rather than rigid techniques.
In my private practice, I offer structured emotional regulation groups designed to provide a clear framework, shared learning, and practical skills within a contained environment. Individual therapy within my practice is available after completing a group, allowing for deeper, more focused work once a foundation is established. Individual sessions offer greater space for processing and exploration while continuing to strengthen and apply skills over time.
For individuals who are seeking one-on-one therapy without a group component, or for those prioritizing insurance coverage, I’m transparent about available options and happy to support referrals or alternative pathways — including insurance-based care when appropriate.
At GroundPoint Counseling, my goal is not quick fixes or surface-level change. I work with clients who want to better understand themselves, develop steadier responses to life’s challenges, and move forward with greater clarity, flexibility, and intention.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. If you’re curious about working together, I invite you to reach out to see whether what I offer feels like a good fit — whether that means working together here or finding another path that fits your needs.
